What is food-grade silicone

Teethers, that you find in our shop are made of food-grade silicone. It is the same material, that is used in production of pacifiers, baking molds and many other products. Safe food colorings are used to make it bright and colorful. Silicone does not contain Bisphenol A, PVC, phthalates, cadmium, lead, nitrosamines. In other words, no harmful ingredients are used in technological processes.

Advantages of silicone teethers

Silicone is a durable material, the child will not be able to break or bite off a piece. It has no taste and smell, it does not absorb moisture and is chemically inert, therefore, mold and fungus do not develop on the surface. Even if a a silicone bead is swallowed, it will not cause any reaction in the body, and the bead will come out naturally without change. Food-grade silicone is not affected by high and low temperatures, appearance of toys does not change from it. Teethers can be boiled or frozen, this gives the opportunity to sterilize them, protecting the baby from bacteria. Silicone is soft, and it is safe to chew it, when some teeth already appeared.

How to take care of silicone teethers

Care of silicone toys is very easy. For a long use of a beloved teething toy, you have to wash it occasionally in hot or soapy water. It will wash off all the dust or dirt. Silicons feature is durability over high and low temperatures. If a toy is dirty, you can freeze it or put it in boiling water, this will kill all the bacteria, but will not affect the toy.

Before the first use, we recommend washing the toy thoroughly with warm water and detergent suitable for toys, but it is even better to sterilize immediately. Now on sale there are many different sterilizers that help in the care of the baby products. With their help, silicone teethers can be sterilized in the same way as baby bottles and pacifiers. After the teethers will be as bright and beautiful as before sterilization.

In the freezer microbes do not survive, so one of the methods of sterilization is to put a teether in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator. There is no need to worry about the fact that a cold toy can harm a baby – silicone quickly adapts to room temperature.

Silicone has another excellent feature – bacteria on its surface do not multiply. The cord that we use is also synthetic and does not give food to bacteria.

Do not wash teethers in the dishwasher. Even if yours has a special mode for children’s things, you should not use this method. Small particles of laundry detergent may stay on the surface of the toy or in the lace, after that thorough rinsing and sterilization will be required.

Toys with wooden elements can not be immersed for a long time in water, heated and frozen. Such products can be rinsed under a stream of warm water, but the long contact of the wood with water should be avoided. After that, the toy must be wiped with a cloth and left to dry.

Very important: we use only materials safe for babies, strong laces, reliable knots. However, in no case should a child be left with a toy, holder, beads or other goods unattended.

How to use cloth diapers

2. Adjust the size of the diaper, to be convenient for your baby in height and width using the buttons.

3. The insert can be put in a special pocket, or just put and aligned on top of the diaper. If for your baby a single liner is not enough (it happens with some babies for a short time), you can use two liners in one diaper at the same time. Both inserts can be placed in a special pocket. If you use disposable bamboo napkins, tear off one napkin from the roll and place it between the baby and the diaper.

4. Put the diaper on the baby, make sure that it is comfortable, the diaper fits snugly, but isn’t tight anywhere.

After use: if there are solid secretions, first of all clean them. This can be done very quickly, if you are using bamboo napkins. After this, be sure to rinse the diaper under the tap from urine. You should not leave the diaper to dry without rinsing, after reacting with oxygen, urine will emit a strong unpleasant smell, that is very difficult to get rid of even after washing. After rinsing, diapers and inserts can be stored in a moisture-proof bag before washing.
Water temperature during washing: 30-40 degrees Celsius.

Detergents: any washing powder or liquid detergent that is suitable for baby clothes and does not contain soap. The soap fills the pores of the fabric with natural fats, the liquids will stop reaching the liner, and the diaper will begin to leak.

If you want to wash the diaper with your hands immediately after use, also choose a detergent that does not contain soap.

It is also convenient to use liquid products that do not have natural fats in the composition, their use does not clog the pores of the fabric. Do not use fabric softeners or conditioners.

Laundry spin speed: unlimited.

Drying: dry the diapers flat under natural circumstances; liners can be dried on a radiator or heated towel rail. Diapers must not be ironed or dried on a hot radiator.

Why can cloth diapers leak

Most often the diaper leakage is caused by an incorrect size setting. If you choose the right size, the diaper fits tightly, then the following causes of leakage are possible:

Reason 1: Diapers and inserts are new and have not yet been washed, or washed once.

Solution: Wash diapers and inserts with recommended detergents.

Reason 2: The diapers and inserts were washed with soap or soap-containing laundry detergent.

Solution: Wash 2-3 times with the recommended detergent. You can also use bleach to eliminate the fatty layer that appeared due to the use of soap.

Reason 3: A cream, powder or conditioner was used to soften the laundry.

Solution: Wash 2-3 times with the recommended detergent. You can also use bleach, or soak diapers and inserts in a solution of citric acid.

Reason 4: The diapers were washed at a high temperature (above 40 degrees), ironed or dried on a hot radiator. Damage is visible on the inner layer of the diaper.
